«My sites» is the bridge between your marketplace account, where you buy, and your own site, where the purchases have to land. Connect a site once and every module you buy afterwards shows up there as an offer to install.
Let us clear the main worry first: nothing is installed without your confirmation. The platform only queues the purchase for you; the decision to install or dismiss stays yours.
Is connecting mandatory
No. Without a connection your purchases do not go anywhere — they can always be downloaded manually from the Library. Connecting simply makes delivery automatic and addressed.
If you buy something for yourself rather than for installation on a site, you do not need this section at all.
Three ways to connect
The My sites page offers three scenarios, and the choice depends on whether the site already exists.
| Action | When to choose it | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Download the build | No site yet, starting from scratch | You give a domain and get a CMS archive with the keys already embedded. Unpack it, run the installer — the site is connected from the start |
| New site | You install the build yourself and need the keys separately | The marketplace issues a new site code and a secret key for you to put into your build |
| Connect an existing one | The site is already running and has its own code | You paste the site code and it is bound to your account |
The secret key is shown once
This is the single most important point in the whole section. When you create a new site, the marketplace shows a site code and a secret key — and the key will never be shown again. Save it right away, before you close the page.
If the key is lost it is not fatal, but it is not free either: for an existing site you can re-download the build, and a fresh key pair is issued. The site code stays the same, but the old archive stops authenticating. In other words, reissuing a key always replaces whatever is running on the server — it is not an additional credential.
What the statuses mean
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Issued | The key exists, but the site has never made contact |
| Active | The site has already reached the marketplace — the link works |
| Revoked | The binding was removed manually |
A site sitting at «issued» for weeks usually means the build was never installed, or the keys never made it into the configuration.
Several sites
Each site is connected separately and carries its own code. You decide which module goes to which site. The site label is free text — it exists purely so you can tell your installations apart.
You cannot connect someone else's code
Only an unclaimed code or your own can be connected. If a code already belongs to another account, the binding is refused — which is why knowing someone's site code does not let you take their site over.
The usual sequence
- Account → My sites.
- No site yet — enter the domain and download the build. Site exists — paste its code into «Connect an existing one».
- Check that the status flips to «active» after the site's first contact.
- Buy on the marketplace — the purchase appears on the site as an offer to install.
- Confirm the installation on your own site.
