Compliance — GPSR, UKCA, Prop 65

Selling abroad adds regulatory requirements on top of shipping. The GPSR, UKCA and Prop 65 compliance module adds the fields regulators expect to your product and manufacturer records — and shows them only for the markets you have actually enabled.

What it does

• Safety warnings at product level.
• Manufacturer information — a mandatory block for the EU.
• UKCA marking for the United Kingdom.
• Prop 65 warnings for California.
• An EU responsible person — one per store, set in the settings rather than duplicated on every product.
• Conditional fields: if you sell domestically only, none of these fields clutter your product form.

The GPSR gate, and why it blocks

The module's most important behaviour is not the fields but the gate: a product without complete compliance data will not enter an EU listing. Not a warning that is easy to dismiss — a block.

That is deliberately inconvenient. An unfilled field costs less than a listing pulled by a marketplace or a regulator's enquiry, so the module stops you before publication rather than after.

What Pro adds

Compliance Pro — bulk validation: catalogue-wide validation of compliance completeness instead of reviewing products one by one, plus declaration export. On a catalogue of several thousand items that is the difference between "we'll check sometime" and "we checked today".

An important caveat

The module helps you collect and display compliance data. It is not legal advice and does not guarantee that your specific product meets a specific market's requirements. Those depend on product category and jurisdiction — verify against the regulator's primary sources and a specialist.
