Meest — delivery and pickup points

The Meest module follows the same model as Nova Poshta: checkout works against a local branch database rather than calling the Meest API on every keystroke. Customers pick a branch even when the carrier service is unavailable — and complete the order instead of leaving.

What it does

• A branch directory with search at checkout.
• Shipping cost calculation — the customer sees the amount before ordering, not "we'll confirm by phone".
• Background refresh of the directory over openAPI v3.0, on a schedule, with no administrator involvement.
• Credentials are encrypted and never reach the markup.

What it does not do yet

Waybill generation is stage two. The reason is caution rather than difficulty: a waybill is the one irreversible action in the whole integration, so we enable it only with production credentials and a verified sample — not "because we can".

What it costs

Nothing. This module has no paid tier at all: shipping is a baseline need, not a reason to sell an extension. It already ships inside the free Community build.

Alongside it in the shipping section: Nova Poshta (with a paid tier for warehouse work) and Ukrposhta. Carriers do not conflict — enable all three and let the customer choose.
